About LG Oven / Range Repair
LG relies on its linear/direct-drive inverter compressors and motors (marketed for quiet operation and fewer moving parts) and ThinQ smart connectivity across its lineup. Known for InstaView door-in-door refrigerators and TrueSteam laundry technology. For LG oven / range repair specifically, our technicians focus on diagnosing igniter and bake/broil element failures, temperature sensor drift, control board faults, and door seal issues behind uneven heating or no-heat complaints, applying that LG-specific knowledge to get an accurate diagnosis on the first visit.
Certified LG Repair Expertise
LG factory-trained technicians on staff. We carry LG OEM parts and can diagnose LG linear compressor issues, ThinQ connectivity problems, and all error codes. We remain proud to bring that same standard to every LG repair across greater Houston.
LG units throughout our coverage area most commonly come in for compressor failure, door lock malfunction, drain pump issues, control board errors, and error codes le, oe, cl, and we keep the specific diagnostic tools and OEM parts on hand to resolve each of these quickly rather than guessing. Our technicians hold themselves to that standard on every single LG visit throughout our coverage area.
Hard water is a real, documented issue across large parts of the greater Houston area, and we've seen firsthand how mineral buildup affects ice makers, water dispensers, and dishwasher components over time, building that awareness directly into how we diagnose and explain certain recurring failures.
We source genuine OEM LG parts specifically to avoid the kind of aftermarket-component failures that can turn a single repair into two or three visits, understanding that a Houston household juggling a long commute doesn't have time to spare for a repeat call.
Multi-generational households are genuinely common throughout many of Houston's established neighborhoods, and we've found that a LG appliance in one of these homes often gets used more intensively than average, a real factor we account for when diagnosing a specific failure pattern.
Houston's genuinely competitive real estate market means a lot of households throughout our coverage area are working against a tight closing or move-in timeline, and we've built our LG repair scheduling to accommodate that same urgency whenever a pre-sale inspection turns up an appliance issue.

Oven / Range Problems We Fix on LG Models
Gas Oven Burner Not Lighting
The gas oven igniter glows but the burner does not light, or the burner lights and immediately extinguishes.
Usual causes: Igniter too weak (glowing but amperage too low to open gas valve), Gas valve failure, Obstructed burner holes from food debris, Safety valve failure.
Oven Door Not Closing Properly
The oven door does not close flush, allowing heat to escape and reducing efficiency.
Usual causes: Door hinge worn or broken, Door gasket compressed and not sealing, Hinge spring broken, Door glass misaligned.
F2 / F3 Error Code — Over-Temperature
Oven displays F2 or F3 error indicating an over-temperature condition was detected.
Usual causes: Faulty temperature sensor reading lower than actual temp, Control board relay stuck closed causing runaway heat, Self-clean overheat event, Temperature sensor wiring short to ground.
Uneven Baking Results
Food bakes unevenly — browned on one side, pale or raw on the other — indicating heat distribution problems.
Usual causes: Convection fan failure eliminating air circulation, Partially failed bake element with uneven heat output, Oven rack positioned incorrectly for the recipe, Temperature sensor in wrong position after previous service.
Igniter Glows But No Ignition
The gas oven igniter glows orange-red but the burner does not light despite repeated attempts.
Usual causes: Igniter glowing but drawing less than 3.2A — insufficient to open gas valve, Igniter in 'soft failure' mode — glowing but not hot enough, Gas valve solenoid requiring full igniter amperage to open, Igniter coated with grease reducing efficiency.
Oven Continues Heating When Turned Off
The oven continues to generate heat or the heating element stays on after the oven controls are set to off.
Usual causes: Control board relay welded closed in on position — DANGEROUS, Electronic control glitch — try power cycling at breaker, Infinite switch failed in the closed position (older models), Wiring bypass of control board.
Excessive Smoke During Self-Clean
The self-clean cycle produces thick smoke that fills the kitchen and sets off smoke alarms.
Usual causes: Extremely heavy grease buildup before initiating self-clean, Large food spill in oven not removed before self-clean, Foil lining in oven bottom burning during self-clean, Self-clean on old oven with years of accumulated grease.
Oven Light Flickering During Operation
The oven interior light flickers or goes on and off during cooking even without opening the door.
Usual causes: Door switch contacts loose or worn causing intermittent contact, Wiring to the light loose and vibrating during convection fan operation, Light bulb itself failing, Door vibration during convection fan causing door switch to intermittently trigger.
Dual-Fuel Range Issue
On a dual-fuel range (gas cooktop, electric oven), one fuel system is not functioning while the other is.
Usual causes: Independent electrical failure affecting oven while gas is unaffected, Independent gas supply issue affecting cooktop while oven works on electricity, Control board failure affecting only one fuel system, Thermal fuse in one system blown.
Oven Fan Making Noise — Not Convection Related
A noise is coming from the oven area that is not the convection fan — occurring even without convection selected.
Usual causes: Cooling fan for control electronics running, Exhaust fan in oven running — some ovens have both convection and exhaust fans, Refrigeration system fan nearby (wall oven above refrigerator), Resonance from the oven frame at certain temperatures.
Convection Setting Not Working Properly
The convection setting on the oven doesn't appear to be making any difference in cooking results.
Usual causes: Convection fan not running despite convection being selected, Control board not activating fan in convection mode, Fan motor running too slowly from worn bearings, Convection element (separate from bake element on some models) burned out.
Food Burning on Bottom Before Top Is Done
Baked goods are burning on the bottom while still undercooked on top.
Usual causes: Bake element producing too much direct radiant heat, Baking rack positioned too close to bake element, Oven calibration running too hot at the bake element, Baking pan too dark — absorbing too much radiant heat.
