About DCS Range Repair
Repairing a DCS range means diagnosing burner ignition, oven cavity heating elements, control board faults, and door seal issues across both the cooktop and oven sections of the unit. DCS (a Fisher & Paykel brand) focuses on professional-style outdoor and indoor cooking equipment — grills, ranges, cooktops — built with commercial-grade burners rather than a full residential appliance lineup. That combination is what lets our technicians pinpoint the actual cause instead of guessing.
Ready to Fix Your DCS Appliance
We service the full range of DCS appliances found throughout Houston-area homes, including refrigerator, oven, cooktop, stove, and range, and every one of those categories gets the same certified diagnostic attention regardless of which specific unit is giving a household trouble. We think that consistency is exactly what a Houston-area household should expect from any vendor it trusts.
We keep emergency scheduling flexible for DCS appliance failures throughout our coverage area, understanding how directly a broken refrigerator or washer disrupts a household's daily routine.
We remain genuinely committed to bringing that same certified standard to every DCS repair throughout our Houston-area coverage territory, call after call, for as long as this community keeps trusting us with it.
We've found that a genuine, patient explanation of exactly what failed inside a DCS unit matters as much to a lot of our customers as the repair itself, and we make a point of walking through that explanation in plain language before ever reaching for a tool.

Range Problems We Fix on DCS Models
Oven Not Heating
A range oven that won't reach temperature is often a failed bake element or igniter. Houston's power fluctuations during storm season are a leading cause of premature heating element failure.
Usual causes: Burned-out bake element, Faulty gas igniter, Failed temperature sensor, Blown internal fuse.
Range Oven Not Heating
The oven portion of the range does not produce heat when selected.
Usual causes: Bake element burned out (electric range), Gas igniter failure (gas range), Thermal fuse blown, Control board not signaling heating.
Gas Range Burner Not Lighting
Surface gas burners on the range don't light or require many attempts.
Usual causes: Igniter electrode dirty or cracked, Spark module failure, Burner cap misaligned, Moisture in igniter after cleaning.
Electric Range Burner Not Heating
One or more electric range surface burners are not heating.
Usual causes: Heating element burned out, Infinite switch (control) failed, Receptacle block burned at element connection, Wiring failure.
Double Oven Range — One Oven Not Working
On a double-oven range, one of the two oven cavities is not heating.
Usual causes: Bake element burned out in one cavity, Control board circuit for the failing oven failed, Separate thermal fuse for the lower or upper oven blown, Temperature sensor failure in that cavity.
Range Hood Issues Over Range
The range hood installed above the range is not performing adequately.
Usual causes: Hood CFM insufficient for the range's BTU output, Duct diameter too small for hood CFM rating, Duct run too long with too many bends reducing effective airflow, Hood filter extremely clogged with grease.
All Range Burners Clicking Simultaneously
When any range knob is turned, all burner igniters click simultaneously — even unintended burners.
Usual causes: This is normal for most gas ranges — all electrodes are on one igniter module, One moisture-laden electrode causing extra clicking from all, Failed igniter module producing excess clicking on all channels, Shorted igniter switch causing module to activate continuously.
Front Burners Stronger Than Rear Burners
The front gas burners on the range produce noticeably stronger flames than the rear burners at the same setting.
Usual causes: Normal gas pressure drop from front to rear manifold in some designs, Rear burner ports partially clogged with debris, Rear burner caps misaligned reducing rear burner efficiency, Gas manifold partially restricted between front and rear outlets.
Bake Element Not Fully Seated
The bake element is not properly seated against the oven back wall, potentially arcing or not heating evenly.
Usual causes: Element not pushed fully into the terminal sockets, Terminal sockets worn and not gripping element terminals, Previous service where element was replaced without fully seating, Thermal expansion causing element to shift over time.
Backguard / Control Panel Loose
The control panel backguard at the rear of the range is loose or the controls are rattling.
Usual causes: Mounting screws for backguard loose or missing, Backguard bracket bent from contact, Previous service not properly reattaching backguard, Vibration from range use loosening mounting points.
Range Installation Problem
The range is not properly installed — either not level, missing the anti-tip bracket, or incorrect clearances from cabinets.
Usual causes: Anti-tip bracket not installed or installed incorrectly, Leveling not completed after installation, Insufficient clearance from combustible cabinets for gas or electric range, Range not properly slid into cabinetry slot.
Range on Incorrect Circuit
The range is connected to an inadequate circuit — wrong amperage, wrong voltage, or shared circuit.
Usual causes: Electric range requires a dedicated 240V 40A or 50A circuit, Older home may have 30A circuit — most modern ranges need 40A minimum, Range sharing a circuit with other appliances creating overload risk, Gas range with electronic ignition requires a dedicated 120V circuit.
