Appliance Repair in First Colony and Southwest Sugar Land (77479)

The 77479 ZIP covers much of southwest Sugar Land. First Colony, developed from the late 1970s into the 1990s, makes up a large share of it and surrounds Sugar Land Town Square and First Colony Mall. Telfair was built later on former state prison farm land along University Boulevard.

Further out are New Territory and Greatwood, two large communities that Sugar Land annexed in 2017. Many neighborhoods here sit near the Brazos River behind levees maintained by levee improvement districts, and Harvey brought evacuation orders to some Brazos-side areas. Even where homes stayed dry, long power outages during storms have left plenty of refrigerators and freezers with spoiled food and failed start components.

Homes in 77479 are often larger than the Houston average, and the appliance count reflects that. Second dishwashers, beverage centers, undercounter ice makers and wine coolers show up regularly, and each has its own quirks. Undercounter ice makers in particular need their drains and water filters kept clear.

Outdoor kitchens are common in backyards here, and outdoor refrigerators take a beating from Sugar Land heat and humidity. Condenser coils collect pollen and grass clippings, door gaskets harden in the sun, and a unit rated only for indoor use will not last long outside.

We work on these specialty units as well as the standard kitchen and laundry lineup.

If you have several specialty units, list them when you book. We can often look at an ice maker, a wine cooler and a dishwasher on the same visit rather than scheduling separate trips.

All of 77479, including Greatwood and New Territory, is inside our coverage area. Repairs carry our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
