Appliance Repair in Memorial and the Villages (77024)

77024 runs west from Loop 610 along the Katy Freeway and Memorial Drive and takes in several of the Memorial Villages, the small separate cities such as Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill and Hedwig Village. Memorial City sits along I-10, and Buffalo Bayou marks much of the southern edge.

Much of the area was built in the 1950s and 1960s as ranch houses on large, heavily wooded lots. Over the last few decades, many of those houses have been torn down and replaced with much larger ones.

The original houses that remain usually have kitchens updated one or two times, standard-size appliances, and laundry in a utility room off the kitchen or carport.

The rebuilds tend to have fully built-in kitchens, with integrated refrigeration, double wall ovens, gas cooktops or professional-style ranges, and often a laundry room upstairs. Those repairs take more care getting units out of cabinetry, and we check drain pans under upstairs washers as part of the visit.

Tree cover makes Memorial pleasant, but storms bring down limbs and cause power outages. After an outage, we see refrigerators and ice makers that do not restart properly and control boards affected by power surges.

Townhome communities and gated streets are common in 77024, so include gate or access details when you book. All repairs carry our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
