Appliance Repair in East Aldine (77039)

77039 covers part of unincorporated Aldine, east of the Hardy Toll Road around Aldine Mail Route and Aldine Bender, south of Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is mostly single-story houses on modest lots, many built in the postwar decades and expanded since with an extra room or an enclosed garage.

Because a lot of these homes have been added onto rather than rebuilt, the kitchen and laundry are often in different places than the original plan intended. We look at the circuit and the plumbing supplying an appliance, not only the appliance itself.

A second refrigerator or chest freezer in the garage is common in 77039, and Houston summers are hard on them. Most household units are designed for indoor temperatures, and a garage in August is well outside that. The result is a compressor that runs constantly, a freezer that frosts over or a refrigerator section that warms up.

Larger households also mean more laundry. Washers here tend to wear out in the places that take the most cycles: drive belts, suspension springs, drain pumps and tub bearings. A loud spin or a machine that walks across the floor is usually one of these.

We will tell you whether a garage unit is failing or simply losing a fight with the heat, because the fixes are very different.
