A golf community under the trees
Champions Forest grew up around Champions Golf Club, which opened off FM 1960 in the late 1950s. The 77069 ZIP holds larger single-family homes on wooded lots, most built between the 1960s and the 1980s, along with townhome and patio-home sections.
Many of these houses have been remodeled at least once, and the kitchens tend to reflect it. Built-in and panel-ready refrigerators, gas cooktops, double wall ovens and warming drawers are common here.
Working on built-in appliances
Built-in refrigerators are designed to be serviced in place, but they take care. The condenser is usually at the top or bottom behind a grille, and in a home with heavy tree cover it collects dust and pollen quickly. A clogged condenser is one of the most common reasons a built-in runs warm.
Gas cooktops and rangetops bring their own regulars: spark modules that click continuously, burners that will not stay lit, and igniters worn from years of use. Double wall ovens can have faults in one cavity while the other works normally, which often narrows the diagnosis to a sensor, element or relay for that oven.
Trim kits, custom panels and cabinetry all need protecting while we work. We treat that as part of the job.
Booking a visit
Share the brand and model when you book if you have them, so we arrive prepared for built-in units. Every repair carries our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
For older built-ins that predate the remodel, we check parts availability before ordering, since some models from the 1990s are no longer supported.
