Between River Oaks and the Galleria
The 77027 ZIP runs from the western edge of River Oaks past Highland Village to Loop 610 and the edge of the Galleria area, along Westheimer, San Felipe and Richmond. It includes Afton Oaks, a neighborhood of 1940s and 1950s ranch homes near Richmond and the Loop, along with townhome blocks and a number of residential high-rises.
Afton Oaks has seen a steady stream of remodels and rebuilds, so original houses and much larger new homes now stand side by side.
Houses and townhomes
In the rebuilt and remodeled homes, kitchens are designed around built-in refrigerators, wall ovens, warming drawers, wine and beverage refrigerators and pro-style ranges. These units often use proprietary parts, so a model number at booking helps us arrive with the right components or order them the same day.
Original Afton Oaks houses have simpler freestanding appliances and interior utility rooms, where the repairs are the familiar ones: igniters, drain pumps, defrost systems.
High-rise units
Tower residences near Loop 610 and San Felipe usually require advance scheduling with building management, including insurance paperwork and a reserved service elevator. We take care of our part of that before the appointment.
Units in these buildings often have fully integrated appliances behind cabinet panels, and removing them without scuffing finishes takes time and care. We plan the visit accordingly.
All repairs carry our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
