Appliance Repair in Sharpstown (77036)

Sharpstown was developed by Frank Sharp in the late 1950s and 1960s as a large planned community along the then-new Southwest Freeway, complete with its own mall, which is now PlazAmericas. The 77036 ZIP covers much of it, along with the Harwin wholesale district and the stretch of Bellaire Boulevard known for its Chinese and Vietnamese businesses.

Today the ZIP is densely populated and very diverse. The single-family sections are mostly one-story brick ranch homes, and large apartment complexes line the main roads.

The original Sharpstown houses were built with attached garages, and in many of them the washer and dryer still sit in the garage. Others have had the garage enclosed as extra living space, which moved the laundry and often left a dryer vent running a long way to reach an outside wall.

Kitchens here get heavy daily use, with frequent cooking and larger households. Range burners, oven igniters, refrigerator door gaskets and dishwasher pumps wear faster under that load, and those are the parts we replace most often.

Electrical service in houses of this age has usually been updated, but not always evenly, so on intermittent faults we check the outlet and circuit before condemning the appliance.

Sharpstown sits right on our regular southwest routes, and same-day appointments are often available.

Repairs carry our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
