A mid-century neighborhood, remodeled
Westbury was built out in southwest Houston in the 1950s and 1960s, and 77035 covers most of it, around West Bellfort Avenue and Chimney Rock Road. The typical house is a single-story brick ranch on a generous lot with mature trees.
Many of those houses have changed hands in recent years, and new owners tend to remodel. The result is a lot of mid-century floor plans holding current kitchens: new cabinets, stone counters and appliances fitted tightly into spaces originally framed for something else.
Repairs in a tight, finished kitchen
A remodel changes how a repair is done. Dishwashers under stone counters are often fastened to the side cabinets because stone will not take screws, and slide-in ranges can sit against finished edges with almost no clearance. Pulling either out without marking anything takes patience, and we take the time.
Counter-depth refrigerators are common here, because a standard-depth unit would stick out past the new cabinets. They work well, but a unit boxed in by a tight cabinet surround can run warm if nobody planned for airflow. On a cooling call, that is one of the first things we check.
Before you book
If your appliances are still under a manufacturer or installer warranty, check that first. If what we find looks like an installation problem, we will say so, so the installer can see it.
For panel-ready or integrated appliances, send the brand and model if you have it. Custom panels can hide the labels we would normally read at the visit.
Our repairs carry a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
