Appliance Repair in the Hobby Airport Area (77061)

77061 surrounds William P. Hobby Airport in southeast Houston, which was the city's main airport until Intercontinental opened in 1969. Telephone Road, Airport Boulevard and Bellfort Avenue carry most of the traffic around it.

The residential streets are largely mid-century: brick ranch homes on slab, many from the 1950s and 1960s, plus a good number of apartment complexes along the main roads.

Houses this age have had their kitchens redone at least once, and many have picked up a second refrigerator or a deep freezer in the garage along the way. Those are the units that suffer most when the power is out for days.

Southeast Houston has had its share of long outages, including the days-long ones after Hurricane Beryl in July 2024. Some appliance trouble from an event like that appears right away and some turns up weeks later.

The patterns we see: refrigerators that restart but cool poorly because the evaporator iced over or the defrost drain froze during repeated thawing and refreezing; electronic control boards on washers, ranges and refrigerators damaged by voltage swings when power returned; and ice maker parts that cracked when water froze inside them.

If an appliance acts strangely after an outage, unplug it for a few minutes and try again before booking. If it still misbehaves, note when the trouble started; it helps the diagnosis.

77061 sits right on our regular southeast Houston routes, so short-notice visits are usually possible.

If you rent in one of the complexes near the airport, check whether the appliance belongs to the property; in most it does, and the leasing office arranges the repair.

Every repair carries our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
