Appliance Repair in Upper Kirby (77098)

The 77098 ZIP covers most of Upper Kirby, between River Oaks to the north and the Southwest Freeway to the south, along Kirby Drive, Shepherd, Richmond and Westheimer. Its streets were once lined with small single-family houses from the 1930s through the 1950s.

Most of those have been replaced. Today the area is dominated by three- and four-story townhomes built lot by lot, along with mid-rise apartment buildings and condominiums near the commercial corridors.

The standard Upper Kirby townhome puts the garage on the ground floor, the kitchen and living space on the second, and the bedrooms and laundry on the third. Every one of those choices affects repair work.

Washers on the top floor sit above finished ceilings, so drain pans and hose condition matter. Dryer vents in these homes often run a long, bent path to the roof or an exterior wall, and lint buildup is one of our most common findings. Refrigerators on the second floor may have water lines running up from the ground floor, with shutoffs that are hard to find.

When an appliance does need to be replaced, narrow stairs with a turn at the landing can decide what will fit, so we measure the route as well as the space.

Street parking is limited on many blocks, so let us know if there is a driveway or guest spot we can use.

Repairs are covered by our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
